The X-muse Manual
A few quick things to know about surfing X-muse:
- We do have our photos available two sizes: the bottom half and top half of each thumbnail link to a larger and a smaller version of the image. The large Feature images can be up 4,000 pixels on a side; the smaller versions are always 1200 pixels. The Archive images are always 1200 pixels and 900 pixels. Read the description for the images sizes for each set.
- When viewing photos, notice the control bar! This allows you to navigate thru the galleries or view a slide show. You can use your keyboard too if you prefer that.
- Don’t ignore the fact you can add photos, photo sets, videos, and Muses to your Favorites. You must be registered — you will see a welcome notice if are — to use add favorites. Look for the STAR+ icon to add a favorite.
- Commenting is fun and healthy, as long as you are polte. You must be registered to comment.
- Do not ignore your Assets! This page allows you to manage your favorites and control how you view X-muse — check it out!
- Do download the videos! Yes, there is a streaming flash version you can watch, but you can also stream or download our WMV files and download a Quicktime-compatible MP4 (h.264 encoded). These videos are better quality than the flash version.
- Use the Help button — lots of good info there, and we keep it updated!
- Take our surveys! They are the way you can influence who the next X-muse is, what we shoot, and which new features we add to the site. Don’t be complacent and let others run X-muse for you! Have your say!
